Why Gilgamesh Enterprise Builds Free Tools

If it doesn't cost us anything to run, it's free for you. That's the whole philosophy.

Every company has a reason it exists. Here's ours.

I grew up without money. I watched people get locked out of opportunities because they couldn't afford the tools, the education, or the connections that would let them in.

The internet was supposed to change that. In some ways it did. But a new gatekeeping layer emerged: SaaS pricing. $99/month to schedule social media posts. $15/month to track your own subscriptions. $40/month for budgeting software. $200/month for tools that help you grow a business.

It's not that these tools aren't valuable. It's that the pricing doesn't reflect the actual cost of running them. It reflects what the market will bear — and what the market will bear is set by people who can afford it.

The Gilgamesh philosophy is simple: if it doesn't cost us anything to run, it's free. SocialMate has a free tier because Supabase, Vercel, and Next.js let us serve thousands of users at near-zero cost. RenewalMate is free because a bill tracker doesn't require expensive infrastructure. We only charge when the underlying costs require it.

This isn't charity. It's a business model that works when you're not carrying investor expectations or artificial growth targets.

The ventures we build: SocialMate (free social media scheduler), RenewalMate (free subscription tracker), Hearthforge (affordable physical products for creators), Gilgamesh's Guides (free business education).

Power to the people. Build the door.
